On Sunday, Biden’s national security advisor Sullivan invented his own reality about Iran as he and other regime officials did numerous times since replacing Trump.
Saying “the script has been flipped [sic]. It is Iran that is isolated now diplomatically, not the United States [sic]. And the ball is in their court [sic]” shows the following:
He’s got things backwards.
Iran is falsely blamed for wrecking the JCPOA nuclear deal by the US.
Biden continues Trump’s failed agenda that’s in flagrant breach of international law.
Engaging with the US diplomatically, or trying to, assures failure because hegemons don’t negotiate. They demand.
Chances of US policy toward Iran changing under Biden are virtually nil.
Establishment media support US war on humanity at home and abroad.
They’re hostile toward US invented enemies.
The NYT is the worst of a bad lot in print. State-approved propaganda is featured in daily editions.
Time and again it falsely claims that Iran is enriching uranium “closer to bomb-grade material”—a bald-faced Big Lie, followed by another in its latest edition claiming:
Iran is “threatening to restrict (IAEA) inspectors [that’s] been part of that effort [sic].”
In sharp contrast to lawless US actions, Tehran is in full compliance with its international obligations.
Instead of truth and full disclosure on all major issues, the Times features managed news rubbish in daily editions.
It wages editorial war on truth-telling and US invented enemies, notably China, Russia, and Iran.
The Tehran Times called US media a “tool [in waging] asymmetric warfare against Iran.”
On Sunday, Press TV interviewed Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif.
Repeating what he said before, Iran is open to negotiating with the West once the US and E3 countries comply with their JCPOA obligations.
It requires returning to the landmark agreement as affirmed by Security Council Res. 2231 in January 2016 with no changes or preconditions and lifting Trump’s illegally imposed sanctions.
Since Trump’s unlawful May 2018 pullout, the West has been in flagrant breach of the JCPOA, not Iran.
Trump wrecked it. So did Biden by pledging a return to compliance rhetorically, then continuing Trump’s maximum failure toward Iran with no signs of reversing policy.
As he’s done before, Zarif’s straight talk minced no words saying, “Nothing has changed. Biden claims that Trump’s policy of maximum pressure was maximum failure.”
“But for all practical purposes, they are pursuing the same policy.”
“The US is addicted to sanctions, bullying, and pressure. But it doesn’t work for a country with millennia of history.”
Biden regime hardliners must “open their eyes, make a sober assessment of the past, not only with Trump, and realize that with [Iran] only respect works.”
Instead, unbending US hostility toward Iran continues unchanged.
“Trump left the [JCPOA] hoping that Iran’s government would crumble.”
“Now, he’s gone, and we’re still here.”
“[T]hat’s a good lesson. Seven consecutive US presidents are gone” since 1979.
“Every one of them wanted to get us out. All of them are out. We’re still here.”
Unlike the West remaining in flagrant breach of its JCPOA obligations, “Iran is not violating” its provisions, only implementing (permitted) remedial measures.”
On Saturday, Zarif tweeted: “There is a path forward, with a logical sequence:#CommitActMeet
As the offending side, US must take corrective measures:
commit to JCPOA
effectively fulfill obligations
Iran would reciprocate immediately by reversing its remedial measures.”
Tehran’s lawful response to continued US war on the country by other means is “maximum resistance.”
Unravelling of the JCPOA is entirely the doing of Washington and E3 countries Britain, France and Germany—on orders from their US master.
Following US withdrawal from the landmark agreement almost three years ago, Trump, Biden and their E3 counterparts breached all their mandated obligations.
Yet to this day, Iran is falsely blamed for their flagrant breach of international law.
The US blame game operates the same way against all its invented enemies.
As for phony—media promoted—claims about Iran seeking nukes, Zarif once again stressed that Tehran has “nothing to hide,” adding, “Iran does not seek to develop nuclear weapons.”
“The decision is based on sound geopolitical facts and religious and moral grounds.”
“[T]hat decision stands without any ifs or buts.”
There’s no ambiguity about the above. Yet Big Lie claims otherwise persist.
What to make from all of the above.
It’s clear that no matter which right wing of the US war party runs things, forever wars by hot and/or other means continue against their invented enemies.
There’s virtually no chance that Biden and hardliners around him will engage in diplomacy as it should be with Iran and other countries on the US target list for regime change.
For their part, it’s a waste of time trying to change US policy.
Dismal failure happens every time.

“We are studying [EU foreign policy chief] Josep Borrell’s proposal to hold an informal meeting of the 4+1 [JCPOA members] with the United States and Iran, and we are consulting with our partners, including Russia and China, and we will respond to this proposal in the future.”
“However, we believe a US return to the nuclear accord does not require a meeting, and the only way for it is to lift the sanctions.”
Meetings by Iran with Western countries, if held, will be just as fruitless as earlier.
Whatever their ruling regimes agree to won’t be worth the paper it’s written on.
Whatever Western promises are made will be breached like always before.
