How shrewd this empire be!

The highly controlled mainstream news always does the bidding of our Military Industrial Empire . . . always! As most folks should know, there is this constitutional caveat called sequestration that requires cuts in federal spending, to help balance budgets.

So, what does the war mongering cabal do? Well, read on:

The January 7 edition of USA Today, page 7A of the World Section, ran this headline: Iraq veterans feel sting of Anbar losses . . . Ask if sacrifices were in vain after al-Qaeda victories. So, as the insurgents, a.k.a. . al-Qaeda terrorists, move back into Fallujah and Ramadi, there are calls for us, the USA, to get back into the fray and help the new Iraqi security forces.

Now, this is key, so listen up. Keep in mind that what our nation, our empire, did in March of 2003 was an illegal and immoral attack on a sovereign nation that posed absolutely no threat to our security! Thus, whatever happened, or happens afterwards is a moot point. If the Chinese decided that we were becoming too much of a threat to world peace and then invaded and occupied our nation, would our guerilla fighters be terrorists or patriots?

In the January 13^h USA Today World Section, also on page 7A, a cover article continues to spew the fear button: Al- Qaeda gaining ground in Iraq, Middle East. It goes on to actually have the nerve to state “The 2003 US invasion gave birth to what was the Arab world’s only democracy and may have fomented the Arab Spring revolutionary movements that unseated dictators in Egypt and Libya. That development was not just good for Iraqis, but was seen as a plus for US security . . . Iraq under Saddam Hussein was a violent autocracy that started two major wars [Please note that the first war, the one with Iran, was aided immeasurably by our US empire- check out the photo op of Rumsfeld with Hussein in 1983, after of course, he gassed the Iranians and the Kurds] . . . and supported radical groups.” The entire article could have (and may have been) drafted by someone in the Pentagon or NSA. John Stewart could do a whole hour on it and never be funnier.

Finally, the January 15 USA Today headline: Spending Bill’s Winners: Good news for Wall Street, Pentagon: Defense spending tops at $ 520.5 Billion, more than half the discretionary spending for the year, and includes an additional $ 85.2 billion for overseas operations. As far as the Wall Street part of this all: Looser Leash for Wall Street . . . Financial regulatory agencies underfunded.

So, there you have it. The empire creates the fear and uncertainty, and then gets the taxpayers to subsidize the War cabal . . . at the expense of our schools, libraries, local police, fire personnel, hospitals, nursing homes, Medicaid, Medicare . . . Need I go on? No such thing as in the past when we actually had this thing called Revenue Sharing, whereupon Congress sent back to states and cities needed monies for all of the above. No more. And this writer predicts that we won’t see our GIs being sent back to Iraq and other ‘hot spots ‘. On the contrary, just as the English did with its colonies, the Hessians, a.k.a. private contractors, a.k.a. mercenaries, will be in the desert heat, at a cost of hundreds of thousands of tax dollars per man per year! Sad, but true, just wait and see.
