One-sided scoundrel media reporting on Aleppo

A brief Google search showed deplorable one-sided scoundrel media reports on Saturday’s Security Council session, focused on Aleppo.

Headlines and commentaries were virtually the same, shamelessly blaming Russia for vetoing France’s draft resolution—without explaining its adoption would assure greater war. Nor was Moscow given credit for its responsible cessation of hostilities draft proposal—despicably vetoed by America, Britain and France as expected.

The neocon Washington Post was typical, headlining “Russia vetoes UN Security Council resolution to end Aleppo bombing,” saying, “It was the fifth time Moscow has used its veto in as many years as a deadlocked Security Council tries to end a war that has claimed almost half a million lives.”

Fact: Russia vetoed US-supported resolutions designed to impose imperial dominance over sovereign Syrian independence—what media scoundrels never explain.

Nor do they denounce Obama’s war of aggression, using imported terrorist death squads, serving as imperial foot soldiers.

WaPo irresponsibly blamed Syria and Russia for violating Geneva ceasefire terms—America, its rogue partners in high crimes, along with terrorist foot soldiers, entirely to blame.

A further litany of Big Lies followed, ignoring Moscow’s vital aid for Damascus in combating US-supported terrorists, wrongfully blaming their military forces for civilian deaths—ISIS, al-Nusra and likeminded groups fully responsible, along with Pentagon-led “coalition” terror-bombing.

The Wall Street Journal was no better, headlining UN Security Council Fails to Agree on New Aleppo Cease-Fire,” saying world power vetoes “dimm[ed] prospects for peace in Syria.”

Like other media scoundrels, the Journal failed to explain America wants war, not resolution, regime change, not democratic governance, its will forcefully imposed on long-suffering Syrians, US imperial victims—the Syrian Arab Republic one of many nations raped to serve its interests, its viciousness taking of millions of lives.

While diplomats debated on Saturday, Pentagon-led “coalition” warplanes continued terror-bombing Syrian civilian targets—destroying the al-Syasia bridge north of Deir Ezzur, the area’s largest.

It follows US-led bombing of other bridges and vital infrastructure—on the phony pretext of combating ISIS, created and supported by Washington.

On September 9, Russia and America agreed on Syria ceasefire terms, John Kerry at the time, saying “we think [cessation of hostilities] has the capability of sticking . . .”

Russia and Syria scrupulously observed an agreed on 7-day “regime of silence,” halting combat operations in Aleppo. Terrorists controlling its eastern areas breached terms straightaway, violating them 300 in seven days, deliberately preventing an end to hostilities—with full US support and encouragement, Russia and Syria shamelessly blamed for their high crimes, continuing daily.

Prospects for conflict resolution in Syria are virtually nil because Washington wants endless war to topple Assad, achieving another imperial trophy if successful.

One Response to One-sided scoundrel media reporting on Aleppo

  1. That’s for sure, it’s all one sided and that side is a lie. Never trust the US government.
