I’ve described Nikki Haley as a neocon hardliner, a recklessly dangerous hawk, a brainless Hillary clone, an ideological extremist, a political prostitute, a geopolitical know-nothing, the most unqualified ever US UN envoy, an embarrassment to the position she holds—undiplomatic in the extreme.
The former GOP South Carolina governor with no foreign policy experience is unqualified for any public position.
Straightaway as US UN envoy, she provocatively said, “You’re going to see a change in the way we do business.”
“Our goal with the administration is to show value at the UN, and the way we’ll show value is to show our strength, show our voice, have the backs of our allies and make sure our allies have our back as well.”
“For those who don’t have our back, we’re taking names. We will make points to respond to that accordingly.”
At the time, I said she sounded like Samantha Power on steroids—in the deplorable tradition of US bullying and intimidation.
She’s militantly pro-war, pro-Israeli viciousness, anti-peace and stability, anti-Russia, anti-North Korea and anti-Iran.
During his 2012 presidential campaign, Mitt Romney considered her as a potential running mate.
In 2016, Time magazine, a right-wing establishment publication, named her one of the 100 most influential people.
As South Carolina governor, she signed legislation prohibiting BDS activities in the state, the first measure of its kind in the nation, at the time saying, “[N]owhere has the UN’s failure been more consistent and more outrageous than in its bias against our close ally Israel”—failing to explain it’s a Ziofasicst police state, responsible for decades of high crimes against Palestinians and neighboring states.
Does she have presidential ambitions? One unnamed diplomat said she’s “trying to win votes for 2020 or 2024” in positions she supports as US UN envoy, adding, “She is clearly using [her] position to run for something. That’s obvious.”
She’s on the wrong side of virtually everything important to just societies, along with being notoriously undiplomatic.
The possibility of her as US president should terrify everyone—another Hillary or worse!
