“The life of the nation is shot through with a certain falseness and hypocrisy, which are all the more tragic because they are so often subconscious rather than deliberate . . . The soul of the people is putrescent, and until that becomes regenerate and clean, no good work can bedone.”—Frantz Fanon
“And when I speak, I don’t speak as a Democrat. Or a Republican. Nor an American. I speak as a victim of America’s so called democracy. You and I have never seen democracy—all we’veseen is hypocrisy.”—Malcolm X [el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz]
The swift response by United States Presdent Barack Obama pertaining to the horrific July 22, 2011, massacre in Norway (resulting in approximately a hundred victims including those wounded) reeked of hypocrisy and political opportunism. This of course should come as no surprise in view of the predator drone missile and related military massacres being perpetrated by the United States Government itself (and its proxies) against civilians in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Libya, etc.
In the initial aftermath of the massacre in Norway, ordinary, everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in the United States, and elsewhere, were subjected to, and barragedwith, reprehensible, inaccurate, and misleading corporate-stream media innuendo and reports speculating and unabashedly inferring that the massacre had been perpetrated by “Al-Qaeda” and/or other so called “Islamic extremists.” Both the U.S. government and the corporate-stream media are well aware of the fact that first impressions, psychologically, tend to be the lasting impressions, no matter what subsequent emerging facts bring to light.
Not to be outdone by the corporate-stream media frenzy of disinformation, U.S. President Barack Obama opportunistically took full advantage of this horror in Norway to propagate support for his own brand of supposedly legitimate “terrorism,” euphemistically known as the ‘war on terror.’
As Global Research correspondent Finian Cunningham poignantly noted in his article, titled Obama Reaction To Norway Massacre Betrays “War On Terror” Fundamentalism, “Within hours of Norway’s deadly bomb and gun attacks claiming at least 91 victims it has become clear that the horror was perpetrated by a Nowegian loner with rightwing Christian fundamentalist affiliations. Yet President Barack Obama reacted immediately to the news of the atrocity to insinuate an Islamic connection and to justify America’s war on terror. Obama spoke on Friday while hosting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key in the White House . . . The U.S. President said of the attacks: “It’s a reminder that the entire international community has a stake in preventing this kind of terror from occurring, and that we have to work cooperatively together both on intelligence and in terms of prevention of these kinds of horrible acts.” . . . The profile of [Anders Behring] Breivik that emerged minutes after the incidents was clearly that of a Norwegian citizen who acted on a deranged loner mission . . . However, this did restrain Obama or his New Zealnd guest from issuing wild insinuations about Islamic terrorism. Obama is reported to have been briefed by intelligence officials before he spoke on the matter. Which makes his response an all the more odious bit of politicking to turn a horrific, tragic event into a propaganda stunt to stir up anti-Islamic fears and shore up Washington’s illegal ‘wars on terror.’”
Critical thinkers cannot help but wonder how the double-talking Barack Obama would have opportunistically depicted, spun, and utilized the horrible, domestic “terrorism”of the April 1995, Oklahoma City bombing had he been head of the corporate/military U.S. Empire at that time.
Nonetheless, It is particularly both sad and terribly ironic that the war mongering Barack Obama was awarded the undeserved Nobel ‘Peace’ Prize which emanated from the relatively ‘peaceful’ nation of Norway. Yet, when it comes to Barack Obama, it gets much worse.
Obama reportedly embraces ‘national security’ law to jail U.S. citizens who oppose him
It is of paramount importance for ordinary, everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in the United States of America to fully understand that the hypocrisy of Barack Obama and his government (including both Democrats and Republicans) goes far beyond mere hypocrisyand embraces subterfuge and repression of ideas, thoughts and expression here in this nation.
The egregious violations of both the U.S. Constitution and international law, now codified in the ‘Patriot Act’ and ‘Extraordinary Rendition’ (both of which have been extended and expanded upon under Barack Obama), represent only the tip of the proverbial iceberg.
It is extremely noteworthy that in 2007, then U.S. Senator Barack Obama said that “the President does not have the power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.” Yet, in his attacks upon the north African nation of Libya, U. S. President Barack Obama did precisely the opposite of his aforementioned statement. He has engaged in constitutionally unauthorized acts of war in both Libya and Pakistan, in addition to bestowing upon himself the power to target and kill U.S. citizens without constitutional due process of law, anyone whom he deems a “threat.” [Reference: Confirmed: Obama authorizes assassination of U.S. citizen]
Unfortunately, these unconstitutional acts by Obama are apparently not enough.
Reportedly, Barack Obama, under the guise of combating “home grown terrorists” embraced the so-called ‘National Security Strategy’ in the form of the proposed ‘Violent Radicalization and Home Grown Terrorism Prevention Act, and in so doing became “the first American President to [officially] name his own citizens as a threat to his nation’s security.” A May 31, 2010 article in The European Union Times, titled New Obama Law Warned Will Jail 500,000Americans, reports that “the language inserted in this [so-called Violent Radicalization and Home Grown Terrorism Act,” was championed in 2007 by U.S. Congresswoman Jane Harmon.
Moreover, the following excerpts (below) from the above-mentioned European Union Times article are only too clear:
The Times of London is further reporting that Obama’s new National Security Strategy “officially” ends America’s “War on Terror” in what they call “a sweeping repudiation of the Bush doctrine of pre-emptive military strikes.
And as Obama begins re-focusing his forces from fighting America’s foreign enemies, to those opposed to him in his own country, it is important to remember the warning about this new law given by the former CIA official, Philip Giraldi, who had previously warned of the Bush-Cheney plan to attack Iran with nuclear weapons, and who said:
As an example of those Americans Obama will be targeting, Giraldi further writes that The Simon Wiesenthal Center, in testifying before the US Congress in support of this new law, swore that an organization called “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth” was an example of a homegrown terrorist organization, leading one Russian diplomat in this report to state “If 1,200 of America’s top architectural and engineering professionals are deemed terrorists simply because they question their government’s propaganda than truly no one is safe in the United States anymore.””
This act has not yet become law. However, the spectre of this proposed act and the legislative movement towards this draconian act becoming law are not dead and is cause for enormous concern as to what the future holds for the people of this nation, in light of the continual de facto shredding of the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. President Barack Obama has taken on kingly and unconstitutional powers and is incredibly dangerous to ‘democracy,’ the Constitution, and the attainment of justice. Those who smugly dismiss or deprecate as mere poppycock and/or the meanderings of ‘conspiracy theorists’ this very grave state of affairs, fail utterly to grasp the fact that it is none other than successful [so-called] conspiraciesbygovernments against their own peoples that manipulate, control, and repress humankind. It does not have to be this way.
Former U.S. President John F. Kennedy correctly noted that, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” The hypocrisy, lies, non-transparency, and subterfuge of this current fake “hope and change” corporate-backed U.S. President Barack Obama bodes ill for the everyday people of this nation and planet. Sadly also, the dire warnings by former U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, concerning the inherent dangers of the “military industrial complex” have gone overwhelmingly unheeded. The wily and articulately double-speaking conjurer Barack Obama has ushered in a new age of wars abroad and corporate hegemony, and economic austerity and political repression at home. Indeed, Barack Obama is the shrewd embodiment of the merger of the government and corporations. The late Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini said that “fascism” should “more accurately be described as corporatism.” No doubt the constitutionally-trained U.S. President Barack Obama is very aware of this as he adroitly emaciates everyday people all in the hypocritical name of being their ally.
Neither the Republicrat Barack Obama, the Democratic Party foxes, or the Republican Party wolves offer everyday people the systemic change that they/we need and deserve. The Republicans are rabid scoundrels and the Democrats are, as one reader of The BlackCommentator succinctly put it, “the evil of the two lessers.” We must struggle for a better society, a more humane and just world devoid of wars and corporate domination. It is possible, but only if we make it so.
We know who the actual terrorists are. They are the manipulators and the blood suckers of humanity, the subverters of the genuine will and consent of the governed. They are those who mercilessly and cynically, and without let-up or conscience, prey upon the fear, ignorance, and despair of people in this nation and around the world. Their day must be brought to an end, and we must reach out to our everyday, ordinary sisters and brothers in this nation, and in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, South America, and around this globe.
We everyday people must realize that the struggle against the bloody hypocrisy of this corporate/military U.S. Empire, now headed by Barack Obama, is in reality also against his corporate collaborators and backers. We must regain the will and passion to be free! We must visualize, and unceasingly and collectively struggle for ourselves, each other, our posterity, and this planet-Mother Earth. We must take back our humanity and be slaves no longer! This struggle is not and won’t be easy, but the sweet taste of liberation is within our grasp! Educate yourselves! Organize! Hold on! Stay Strong, and Carry On!
Onward then, my sisters and brothers! Onward!

Obama’s bloody U.S. hypocrisy and the massacre in Norway

Harman’s bill contends that the United States will soon have to deal with home grown terrorists and that something must be done to anticipate and neutralize the problem. The act deals with the issue through the creation of a congressional commission that will be empowered to hold hearings, conduct investigations, and designate various groups as “homegrown terrorists.”
The commission will be tasked to propose new legislation that will enable the government to take punitive action against both the groups and the individuals who are affiliated with them. Like Joe McCarthy and HUAC in the past, the commission will travel around the United States and hold hearings to find the terrorists and root them out.
Unlike inquiries in the past where the activity was carried out collectively, the act establishing the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Commission will empower all the members on the commission to arrange hearings, obtain testimony, and even to administer oaths to witnesses, meaning that multiple hearings could be running simultaneously in various parts of the country.
The ten commission members will be selected for their “expertise,” though most will be appointed by Congress itself and will reflect the usual political interests. They will be paid for their duties at the senior executive pay scale level and will have staffs and consultants to assist them.
Harman’s bill does not spell out terrorist behavior and leaves it up to the Commission itself to identify what is terrorism and what isn’t.
Language inserted in the act does partially define “homegrown terrorism” as “planning” or “threatening” to use force to promote a political objective, meaning that just thinking about doing something could be enough to merit the terrorist label.
The act also describes “violent radicalization” as the promotion of an “extremist belief system” without attempting to define “extremist.”
