I am dealing with a sprained Achilles tendon that occurred nearly a week ago. It’s one of the most painful injuries I have ever had. It makes walking difficult and swelling caused my leg to double in size.
Luckily, it appears I have not torn the tendon. So the doc advised me to stay off my feet and the more I can keep the leg elevated, the faster it will heal. Aleve helps minimize the pain.
This is why I haven’t been publishing Intrepid Report this week and I may not be able to publish next week. However, Intrepid Report will be back.

Bev, when yesterday I realized that the last published Intrepid Report articles were dated Feb. 26th and there was no notice of vacation time, i thought about the time when the cat, and the bite, and needing to take time off. I wondered if anything of a similar nature had happened.
Sorry to hear about the Achilles tendon, the need to stay off your feet and elevate the leg. Glad that Aleve works (Advil is the one that usually works best for me.)
Hope that during this hiatus time you have some good books to read. These days fiction works distract my mind. My brain doesn’t seem to want to dwell into anything too complicated lately.
May you, as always, have good neighbors and friends to help with the healing days ahead. And, as always, I look forward to Intrepid Report’s comeback.
Bev, I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well and will miss Intrepid while you’re away. Please take good care of yourself, and know we’re all thinking about you and wishing you well.
Get well soon, Bev. Torn tendon, twisted toes–it’s a conspiracy by all those fake leftists who turned out to be Trump puppets. Sometimes it takes a pandemic to know who your friends are. Love ya muchissimax muchly!
belated get well message…glad it isn’t worse – was concerned at seeming long silence..these days it’s ominous…had a stroke – mild – and am still recovering…hopefully you’ll be back even quicker!
