Corporate media fuel terrorism again

A terrorist named Robert Lewis Dear killed three people at a Planned Parenthood clinic on Friday, assisted by the corporate media, as will be made clear in this piece. This is the latest in a long line of murders at clinics catering to women’s health. Continue reading

How we may begin to dismantle fascism in America

President Franklin D. Roosevelt said, “The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism—ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.” Continue reading

Racism is killing blacks in America

But there is something they can do about it

Black citizens die much younger, on average, than whites. In 2005, the death rate for all cancers combined was an astounding 33% higher in African American men and 16% higher in African American women than in white men and women, respectively. Continue reading

To my corrupt senators upon their Trans Pacific Partnership vote

An open letter to Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine

I am writing about your vote on the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), a plan by transnational corporations to undermine democracy around the globe. Continue reading

On my failed attempt to bring down the government

Before I get to the part about my failure to bring down the government, I’d like to explain why I felt it was necessary. Continue reading

The Lower-Than-Whale-Poop Awards

There were many deserving entrants for this year’s LUV News Lower-than-Whale-Poop Awards, but we thought National Public Radio was most deserving for the way it has completely eliminated discussion on public interest candidates for president, while endlessly discussing its own version of faux democracy. Continue reading

Occupy the media

Getting beyond the primary means for control: Mass media propaganda

If the Democracy Movement, now occupying cities and towns across America, concludes with a half dozen transnational media companies still allowing only one opinion to get to citizens, it will have lost. Continue reading

Upset by Bachmann’s Iowa win, the “Forces of Greed” package Perry to take her down

The ruling Forces of Greed (FOG) appear to be upset that the Teabagger’s Michele Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll Saturday, finishing a close 152 votes in front of libertarian Ron Paul, two of the more extreme candidates difficult to package for a general election, since these two have a long history of targeting some of the most popular programs, Social Security, Medicare and the like. A revolution that wants to join you: Do it for the children of the future

On the 5th of June, I broke a story in LUV News beginning, “With people crying out for justice everywhere, a movement begins today, led by the people, to wrest our government from the control of transnational corporations that pollute our environment, profit from the death and destruction of war, and create poverty all over the world on behalf of a small number of elites we call at LUV News, the ruling Forces of Greed.” Continue reading

A call for progressive unity and a plan for getting there

Of the many obstacles preventing democracy from breaking out in the land, progressives contribute themselves in several ways. Continue reading

The dream of a Social Justice Network

Horrors are committed by a National Security State each day unreported by a mass media working for Forces of Greed (FOG). The corporate mass media news is nothing more than a very sophisticated propaganda system which works against the public interest. Continue reading

The Muslim Holocaust: The legacy of American wars in Afghanistan and Iraq

American mass media have covered up the most important fact in the ongoing wars — the number of people slaughtered. From the initial invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq major media have served as cheerleaders for the bloodshed, spreading the lies that led us to war. Continue reading

National Propaganda Radio and the hidden agenda

National Public Radio (NPR) was a good idea when it started. The plan was to have an alternative to the commercial radio, publicly funding it so that it didn’t have to tell lies like the other mass media, dependent as they are for corporate funding from polluters, defense cheats, banksters and other criminals who demand fealty on behalf of the investments of board members, advertising revenue, and of course, the interests of owners. Blues for chicks

Since women do most of the work in the movement for social justice, the peace movement, the environmental movement, human rights, and the rest of the progressive agenda, including providing for the majority of the leadership, I often write encouragement at Liberty Underground, to get women to take one more step, so that our movement for a better world doesn’t crash and burn.
